Boys Varsity Football · Football: White House honors long-time fan Jimmy Meadows

By Kris Freeman, Sports Information Director

WHITE HOUSE – Friday night was a special moment 30 minutes before kickoff as White House High School honored one of its long-time football fans.

James “Jimmy” Meadows and his brother Chuck have been staples at the 50-yard line high in the stands on every Friday night game for much of their lives. Jimmy graduated from White House High School in 1983 and recently celebrated his birthday.

Jimmy was honored at 7 p.m. before kickoff of the White House High School vs. White House Heritage football game and presented with a ball from Coach Jeff Porter, autographed by the whole team.

The crowd then shouted the famous “Let’s Go Devils” chant back to Jimmy and Chuck, and sang happy birthday to him before he left the field.

Thank you Jimmy and Chuck for always making the number 99 jersey famous and showing us what Blue Devil Pride is all about!
