GREENBRIER – The defending District 9-AA champions completed a sweep of White House on Wednesday as Greenbrier won the second game in as many days, 7-1.

They beat White House Tuesday, 12-6.

The Blue Devils couldn’t keep up with Greenbrier and fell 7-1.

Chance Merithew got the win for Greenbrier. He allowed four hits and one run over five innings, striking out six. Luke Jones threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Avery O’Bryan took the loss for the Blue Devils. He went four innings, allowing four runs on three hits and striking out five.

The Blue Devils collected five hits on the day. Josh Strother and Aaron Worrell all managed multiple hits for White House and Worrell and Strother each managed two.

Greenbrier totaled eight hits in the game. Casey Woodall and Micah Escue and each racked up multiple hits for Greenbrier.
