WHITE HOUSE – With a mid-week off of district play, White House welcomed cross-town Christian Community School Tuesday night and came away with a 6=1 victory over the Colts, scoring three runs in the first two innings each.
Senior starter Michael Frye took his usual early-week start and pitched three innings, allowing one run on one hit with four walks and four strikeouts, then Will Harper finished the game with four scoreless innings with no hits, striking out six and walking two.
Andrew Vogel was 3-4 at the plate with an RBI, even though he missed out on a bases loaded opportunity to end the third with his only out of the game. Aaron Worrell, Avery O’Bryan, Jacob Holland and Blaine Mitchell all had a hit.
Mitchell, Cole Pond, Worrell, O’Bryan and Keaton Cook all drew walks. Vogel and Mitchell scored two runs and Pond and Worrell added the others.
O’Bryan drove in three, then Worrell, Vogel and Miles Suiter picked up the additional RBIs.
Eakes got the only hit for Christian Community School, but Martin and Oakley drew a pair of walks.
White House improved to 10-6-1 for the season.
White House is at Macon County on Thursday and hosts Springfield Friday.
