WHITE HOUSE – After two disappointing losses to break a solid winning streak in District 9-AA, White House bounced back Wednesday night with a big win over Sycamore, 12-2 Wednesday at home.

The Lady Devils exploded for double-digit runs in a 12-2 victory over the War Eagles to earn a season sweep against Sycamore.

Mallory Gut pitched six innings for the win, allowing two runs on two hits with three strikeouts, but White House walked it off with two runs in the bottom of the sixth to win by run rule.

Gut was also 3-4 with a HR and three RBIs at the plate, and Miranda Cain added a 3-4 day with an RBI, and both she and Gut scored three times each. Hannah Crabtree was 2-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs, and Kyra McCall was 1-2 with a run scored and drove in one. Kaylee Rogers also reached and scored twice.

Pinkston took the loss for Sycamore, allowing 12 runs on nine hits with three walks and four strikeouts.

White House lost 7-6 to Westmoreland on Tuesday night when the Lady Eagles broke a tie with a run in the bottom of the sixth inning and held on for the win at home.

Rogers, Sydnee Frakes, Mallory Gut and Hannah Crabtree all had two hits each for the Lady Devils.
