BRENTWOOD – Two White House High School freshmen were named to the 2019 Middle Tennessee Vocal Association All-Midstate choir.
Shelby Branham, a freshman alto, and Wendy Moctezuma, a freshman soprano, were the two Blue Devils to be named to the final list, available here at the MTVA website.
The pair was among 45 Sumner County students to be named to the prestigious list after the audition, joining one student from Westmoreland and the remainder from Beech, Gallatin, Hendersonville and Station Camp. Two students also from White House Heritage High School were selected.
The freshmen performed with the All-Midstate choir at Brentwood United Methodist Church on Tuesday, Nov. 12th. Wendy performed in the Freshman SATB mixed choir (boys and girls) and Shelby performed in the Freshman SSAA all-girls choir.
Fourteen students from WHHS were on the original audition list submitted to MTVA in October. Freshmen cannot advance to the All-State selections but as an upperclassman in the future can have the opportunity to advance.
