By Ava Anderson for White House High School
‘Tis the season of giving! As the days and nights begin to feel cooler, some students will be needing a few more layers! White House High School wants to help these students and has opened “A Helping Hand from a Blue Devil’s Pantry”!
Along with clothing items, we will be accepting school supplies and non perishables. Every item that is donated will be given to the pantry.
To receive more donations, White House High School has made this a “class competition” between all grades. Juniors are in the lead with 101 items, Freshmen are in 2nd with 5 items, and the Seniors and Sophomores are tied with 0 items.
If you do not have a student that attends WHHS and still would like to donate to this cause, bring donations to the front office during school hours (8:15-3:15).
Plan to donate? Here are some ideas:
Gently used or brand new clothing items (Keep in mind these are for high school students. No baby clothes please.)
School Supplies and backpacks (new binders, pencils, index cards, highlighters)
Non perishables (canned foods, boxed food, microwavable food, waters)
Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap, body wash, femine products, toothbrushes, toothpaste)
