White House girls bowling is heading to the TSSAA Division I state tournament.

The Lady Blue Devils defeated Franklin in the sectionals on Saturday morning in Hendersonville to move one step closer to a state championship.

The state tournament is set for Jan. 24-25 at the Smyrna Bowling Center. The quarterfinal round is set for Jan. 24 at 3 p.m., while the semifinals (9 a.m.) and finals (11 a.m.) will held the following morning.

The White House girls advanced to the sectionals by defeating Creek Wood 19-8 for the Region 6 title on Tuesday in Cookeville.

White House opened the region tournament with a 19-8 victory over Upperman. The Lady Blue Devils also won the District 13 championship over Creek Wood on Jan. 8.

The White House boys bowling team advanced to the Region 6 bowling tournament but was eliminated by Lebanon on Thursday. The Blue Devils beat Stone Memorial 15.5-11.5 to stay alive on Wednesday.
