Congratulations to Ethan Rainey and Taylor Whitehurst, who have won their opening matches in the TSSAA Class A/AA State Wrestling Tournament. Rainey defeated Donavyn Walker of Chattanooga Central by pinfall (3:45). Rainey (23-2) will face Xion Dixon of Cascade (13-12) in the quarterfinals early Friday afternoon. Whitehurst defeated Maggie Kite of Science Hill by pinfall (4:26).

In School Wrestling Match Tuesday postponed

Because of Sumner County Schools opening two hours late on Tuesday, White House High School will be on an adjusted schedule and the in-school wrestling match event has been postponed. Sumner County Schools is opening at 10:15 a.m. because of the threat of inclement weather. More updates at a later time.
